Usually parent sparrows feed their chicks, taking turns sitting "on the porch" of the hollow. In two years of observation, I saw for the first time how both parents were fed at the same time. Then they both rested together for a few seconds, sitting on a branch next to the hollow. And flew for the food again. Father is on the left, mother is on the right.
