Image Details:

A 12mm lens helps to capture a full perspective of the Great Rift. Extending from Cygnus (top center left) through to Centaurus (right just behind the tree line). The dark clouds of dust and plasma obscure much of the galaxy light. How bright would the night sky otherwise be if not for these dark clouds? Jupiter is the bright object with Saturn to its right.
