Carolyn and I popped back into Rocky Mountain National Park to photograph the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction. We stopped first at Storm Pass, but the wind and mountain clouds overwhelmed everything atmospheric to the southwest. We took a few moon photos and continued on to a hillside downlope from the Moraine Park Nature Center. As with Storm Pass, clouds loomed over the mountains to the southwest preventing a glimpse of the conjunction. When home we plotted constellations to see how far we had missed the spectacle by. Our conclusion... We missed it by that much (red dot).
