This image shows a pair of Asian Koels (Eudynamys scolopacea) – the male on the top feeding the female with a fruit a ritual known as courtship feeding. It is believed that during the breeding cycle, such feeding adds to the nutrition of the female during the formation of the egg. Caught this pair during the ritual and the actual mating is difficult to capture on camera.
