Image Details:

International Space Station Transit above Mars.
A rapid clearance of cloud early evening on October 15th provided a good view of the International Space Station (ISS) passing high above Mars and heading to the South East above Cecil Kop Nature Reserve at 6.23 pm. This image is a composite of two four second time exposures taken two minutes apart. Both Mars (a few days after its closest approach to Earth on Oct 6th) and the ISS (which appears as a streak due to its rapid movement in the sky) were unusually bright.
