I set up a few camera's in different directions to capture as much of the sky as possible. I ended up walking down to the ocean and noticed the waves were exceptionally bright, I knew it was bioluminescent waves! My heart started beating faster and I got to work. High tide was approaching so the waves would push me back at times interrupting my timelapses, but I needed to get as close to the action as possible so I settled with the single images here. I really wanted to waves to fill the foreground of my frame.
After about 30 minutes I finally captured this intense perseid exactly in the middle of the frame, It was a hazy, humid night, and with a marine layer forming over the Atlantic, it made the whole scene really "dreamy". I captured about 60 meteors that night, some faint, some bright.. I also saw many bright meteors that I didn't capture or only captured pieces of them entering the side of the my frames. All of the meteor I saw direct overhead were very bright, never saw a dim meteor overhead.. I will keep that in mind for next year!
