Last night's conjunction between Venus (upper right) and Mercury. The closest in to the sun planets were even closer and more spectacular in real time -- happening again tonight, right after sunset (and not to be missed!) in the Western sky where the sun sets. Yellow tinge to the planets is real -- combination of the setting sun, and smoke from a controlled Cal Fire burn in our Julian neighborhood.
