A Blacked-Naped Oriole(Oriolus chinensis) fledgling was making an attempt to climb up this tall tree trunk some 3 metres away from where i took this photo from my flat. The chick had earlier fallen off its perch to the bottom of the tree . The chicks are known to wander off the nest before they are ready for fledgling. Initially when i saw it , i thought it was injured and was worried that it may be caught by the stray cats that hang around nearby in the vicinity. However, there was an adult parent flying around the tree seeing the chick being stuck at the bark of the tree. Fortunately, it was kept in check by the adult oriole and was being fed by it. After a while I did not see the young chick again, I presumed it was already on the higher tree branches or rescued by the adult bird. From the picture one can see that its wings are fully formed in shape and they were very beautiful.
