Canon G9X, 11 x 70 Binoculars
3.2s@ISO3200
This time of year there is a very narrow window when the 2 finest emission nebulae appear at the same time in my sky. The Carina nebula is rising in the South and Orion is setting in the West. Each nebula was 20° above the horizon when these images were captured.
The Carina Nebula is approx 4 times larger than the Orion Nebula. Because the Carina Nebula resides along the Galactic Equator, the star field is incredible. (Orion Nebula is 20° from the Galactic Plane)
Both nebulae are spectacular thru binoculars!
