Venus and Aldebaran are in conjunction tonight (same Right Ascension on the Celestial Sphere).
At 150x, Venus shows a fat crescent approaching the apparent size of Jupiter.
The background stars are travelling farther West (down) from Venus, as the planet gets lower on the horizon each night (it's headed back towards the Sun).
