Image Details:

The fabulous Globular Cluster Omega Centauri's location with respect to the Southern Cross. At a declination of -47°, Omega Centauri can be comfortably seen from as far North as Dallas/FW (if you can find a dark site. If not, just use the light pollution filter from your telescope and put it up to your eye. If you don't have a scope, just buy a light pollution filter from your local Astronomy or Camera shop).
Image was taken just before Sunrise.
This FOV is equivalent to my 56mm prime lens. But with a 56mm lens at full aperture, I could not get this incredible depth of field!
