Venus and Saturn Pairing
A break in the weather with the sky partially clearing for just three quarters of an hour after sunset allowed this beautiful security lighting illuminated pre-view of Venus and Saturn pairing above Chikanga Township, Mutare a day before their closest approach on the 10th. The lights were also on in Chikanga which is very unusual early evening due to heavy load shedding which has been affecting Zimbabwe for the past few months. This is partially due to loss of power generation from Kariba Dam due to drought induced water shortages.
