The Moon now becomes a waning Crescent.
Which is good because I really dislike the word "gibbous". It sounds pretentious. And people pronouce it differenty. Some say "Gib'us", some say "Jib'us" and here in the Philippines they say "Giboose'". Like a goose. Crescent is nice. The gibbous Moon should be the Convex Moon!
Clavius is an excellent crater to view at high magnification. It is a remarkable study in Lunar Geology.
