Equipment Details:

I used a color camera (ASI94MC Pro) through a Sky-Watcher Esprit 100 telescope riding on a Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro equatorial mount.

Post-processing Details:

This photo includes 36 x 4-minute exposures for a grand total of 2 hours and 24 minutes. The images were stacked using DeepSkyStacker, and final processing was done in Adobe Photoshop.

Image Details:

The Tulip Nebula is often overlooked, as there are many more well-known emission nebulae in Cygnus. The Crescent Nebula lies nearby, and is obvious choice to most as it is easier to find and a cataloged NGC object. The Tulip Nebula is cataloged as Sh2-101, and I think it's a beautiful target to photograph using a telescope!

I have the complete details about the Tulip Nebula, and why it is so interesting on my blog: https://astrobackyard.com/tulip-nebula/

Thanks for looking!
