Stacked 30 2-minute images of the cluster to generate a 1 hour exposure

Image Details:

Globular Cluster in Canes Venatici ... also known as Messier 3.
This beautiful cluster contains a bit more than 500,000 stars and is about 33,900 light-years away. The age of the majority of stars is roughly 8 billion years old, as compared to 4.6 billion years of our sun. I took this image on the night of Saturday, April 27, 2019, with the Celestron 11" telescope at f/7. This is a one-hour exposure. This cluster is located to the upper right of the bright yellow star Arcturus and it is high overhead around midnight in late April.
