Video of dolphin seeking help from divers

The video shows a wild bottlenose dolphin near Kona, Hawai being rescued by a group of scuba divers. The dolphin got entangled in some fishing line that was still attached to the hook. It appears that the hook was caught in the dolphins fin and was restricting its ability to swim. Luckily there was a group of scuba divers nearby observing manta rays. It really seems like the dolphin approaches the divers for help … pretty amazing.

All of the action starts happening at about the 3:30 mark.

Martina Wing, owner of Ocean Wings Hawaii Inc., has a great message at the end of the video:

Let’s make better decisions for the ocean and the creatures that inhabit it. I strive to make a difference, and you can make one, too!

Bottom line: A video shows a dolphin approaching a group of divers for help. The wild bottlenose dolphin was entangled in fishing line.
