Wardeh Kfardebian
August 28, 2018
Wardeh Kfardebian is located 32 miles (51 km) east of Beirut, Lebanon, and is the largest ski area in the Middle East. The mountains reach elevations of 8,087 feet and are popular for skiing in winter and for stargazing in summer. But even in the middle of summer, the mountainous region can be quite cold at night. Local groups sometimes host star parties on the ski slopes, such as The Cosmic Dome out of Beirut.
