On August 29, 2016, I photographed an affectionate moment between the two resident elephants in the Cecil Kop Nature Reserve near Mutare, Zimbabwe.
The elephants had just had a sand bath in a hollow, which they frequent quite often, and they appear to be giving each other a kiss!
Elephants are extremely sensitive and intelligent creatures. Such a pity that so many die prematurely as a result of ivory poaching.
These two are safe in the Cecil Kop Reserve which is managed by the Wildlife Society of Zimbabwe.
