
A fjord is a long, narrow inlet with steep sides or cliffs, found at high latitudes and typically created by erosion from glaciers. The Limfjord – regarded as a fjord ever since the Vikings – is a bit different. It’s a shallow part of the sea. Ruslan Merzlyakov contributed this photo to EarthSky Facebook.
