Astronauts aboard the ISS on why their job is awesome and what they’re doing
June 10, 2014
ISS Commander Steve Swanson and fellow NASA astronaut Reid Wiseman talked with CBS’s Scott Pelley from aboard the International Space Station (ISS) yesterday.
U.S. Navy Commander Reid Wiseman, from Baltimore, has developed quite a following by tweeting about his experience on the ISS since he got there 11 days ago.
Dr. Steven Swanson, of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, is on his third mission aboard the station, where he’s made a total of five spacewalks.
Speaking to the astronauts Monday via satellite link, CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley talked to the astronauts about what they do in space and what he’s missing by remaining Earth-bound.
