Peter Huybers

Peter Huybers is a climate scientist who researches global climate change, particularly on the Pleistocene Epoch, where he found that glacier formation could be explained mainly by changes in the angle of the Earth’s axis. Dr. Huybers received a B.S. from West Point and went on to lead a tank platoon in Bosnia. Later, he received a Ph.D. (2004) from MIT and studied at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Since 2007, he has been an assistant professor of earth and planetary sciences at Harvard. In 2009, Dr. Huybers received a “genius grant” from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
