Carol Turley

Carol Turley is a microbial ecologist and biogeochemist at Plymouth Marine Laboratory in the U.K.. Her research centers on the role of microbes in the ocean’s biogeochemical cycles. She gathers data from a variety of oceanic environments, including deep-sea sediments, estuaries, the Mediterranean, and the often-stormy North Atlantic. Dr. Turley is a member of the European Project on Ocean Acidification and the UK Ocean Acidification Programme, both of which seek to understand future impacts of ocean acidification.
