Deborah Byrd
Deborah Byrd founded EarthSky Communications in 1991, and today she serves as its president and lead producer. She’s one of a team of hosts for EarthSky’s daily Earth & Sky science podcasts, and for EarthSky’s Clear Voices for Science podcasts. A science journalist for 30+ years, Byrd believes in science as a force for good in the world, and as a vital tool for the 21st century. She has won a galaxy of awards from the broadcasting and science communities, including having an asteroid named 3505 Byrd in her honor.
