Squirrels spend much of their time in the fall gathering and storing food. They eat fir, pine, spruce, berries, mushrooms and hemlock cones and seeds. This one is taking a moment from eating a long pine cone. He was up a tall shore pine, and I took his photo through a double pane glass window.
