Image Details:

Jupiter is approaching opposition and reaches a high altitude from my location. The combination of brightness, altitude, and excellent seeing resulted in this image of Jove with the GRS rotating into view on the left as Io and its bold shadow were transiting off the right. Callisto is off to the extreme right.
