Image Details:

Eucalyptus Tree Sunrise.
Early in the morning on October 8th, the Sun was photographed rising behind a prominent Eucalyptus Tree growing in a saddle on the summit of a ridge in Cecil Kop Nature Reserve. Twice a year in October and April if the weather is clear the Sun traversing along the Cecil Kop Horizon when viewed from beneath a Musasa Tree close to ‘Hill Top Villa’ in Murambi East can be seen rising exactly behind this distant tree as shown in the accompanying montage and slideshow compiled from a time-lapse sequence of photographs taken from this viewpoint between 5.39 and 5.47 am using a hand-held Panasonic Lumix compact camera. It was definitely worth arranging to be in the right place at the right time to capture this on my early morning walk!
