Yesterday’s Harvest Moon, on 29th September, 2023, was after a long while I chose one for beautiful composition with the famous Czech Kunetic Castle. As the Moon rose up just 15 minutes after the sunset, the “blue hour” made the sky bright blue and the castle too. When capturing the immersive moonrise near Srch village with my friend Josef Kujal, we had the castle about 4 km away from us and the whole view offered dramatic composition when using a 1.4m telephoto lens. The Moon rose red and wooly due to the optical inhomogeneity of our atmosphere and I couldn’t be luckier because after a while clouds covered it completely.
