Image Details:

Large powerful auroras get ample attention. However, fainter auroras often show great colouring. At such moments you see how the camera is an addition to the naked eye. The green was well visible with the naked eye. The camera, plus an exposure time that was considerable longer than usual, brought out the detail of the other colours. I have really come to appreciate these auroras, they nearly always surprise.
