This is a high resolution image of Jupiter. I have taken this from a backyard Bortle 6.5 in California. The latitude is 33N. I refused to believe that you have to live at the equator to get this shot of Jupiter and I have successfully proven that to be true. I am pleased with the results and you can see the clouds and the red spot in the zoomed in cropped photo. You can also see the dark overshooting thunderhead clouds and their shadows going off to the right. The red spot is also showing a shadow in the same direction. Jupiter is alive.
