The Big Dipper appearing like a question mark. It appears upside down in spring and summer. Alioth is the brightest of the 7 stars, Dubhe the second brightest, and both are brighter than our Sun. Dubhe and Merak form the Pointer, a line which is used to find Polaris (the North Star).
