Equipment Details:

White light image: Canon T3i DSLR with 1.5x Barlow, Celestron Omni 102mm f/6.5 refractor, alt/az mount.
Hydrogen alpha image: ZWO ASI290MM camera, Lunt 40mm Solar Telescope, SkyWatcher EQ6R Pro mount.

Post-processing Details:

White light image: Single frame was processed using IMPPG, Photoshop, and PhotoScape X. False color added using Photoshop.
Hydrogen alpha image: Best 330 frames of video stacked using AutoStakkert, sharpened and levels adjusted using IMPPG, final tweaks with Photoshop and Microsoft Photo.

Image Details:

The image on the left was captured using a white light solar filter. It shows the Sun's photosphere. Multiple sunspot groups are visible. The sunspot (AR2965) on the north east limb of the Sun is currently the most active sunspot. The image on the right was captured using a solar telescope that only passes hydrogen alpha wavelength light. It shows the Sun's chromosphere. Sunspots, plage, filaments and prominences are visible.
