Very Thin Young Moon after Sunset.
Against all the odds (slight haze and a fading sunset twilight arch) a very thin young 1.1% illuminated Moon appeared for a few minutes about 20 minutes after sunset on Thursday 3rd March. The whisker thin crescent, which was only 23 hours old and too faint to be seen with the naked eye, was caught on camera between 6.34 and 6. 43 pm while descending towards distant low cloud behind Murahwa Mountain.
