This is the first full morning rainbow in March 2022! Rainbows are usually seen in the western sky during the morning and in the eastern sky during the early evening. A rainbow is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky in the form of a multicoloured circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the Sun.
