Composite using two pictures. Other than that no post processing.
This is a composite using two photos of the moon taken on the same day just about 30 minutes of difference from one take to the other. Both photos show a young moon, 4% illuminated, a day after New Moon. Picture on the left was taken at 6:35 pm, still with day light as soon as the moon showed up. The picture on the right taken at 7:06 pm, dark enough to show the side of the moon lit by the Sun light reflected from the Earth.
