The photo, taken 18 minutes after sunset, shows a Tonga evening twilight over Saquarema. Note the exotic colors, characteristics of the presence of volcanic aerosols from the stratospheric Tonga eruptions. Also seen in the two preceeding evenings, were: a bright yellow-orange twilight arch, intense crepuscular rays, a very thin dark blanket of high curly formations (Altocumulus undulatus), that remained glowing for about an hour after sunset.
