Lunt 100MT hydrogen alpha telescope with Televue 2.5x powermate. QHY5III 174MM camera. SER video file captured in Sharpcap.
Photo shows a currently active region on the Sun. There is a face-on looping prominence erupting off the surface whose end points are the two dark sunspots.
Best 11% of 1000 frames stacked in Autostackertt. Sharpened in IMPPG. Final processing and color added in Affinity Photo.
I enjoy doing solar photography in both hydrogen alpha and white light. What's great about the Sun is it is an active object and looks different every day. You sometimes see arcing prominences on the limb, but it's unusual to get a good face-on view.
