Was searching for the comet tonight. From my window looking SW, Venus was bright with no clouds to get in the way, but nothing was visible to the eye or through the binoculars. So I just aimed the camera in the general direction with a wide field...autofocus setting. Kept getting this bright object next to Venus, frame after frame. SkyView app showed no other star at that position and this object does not have a tail ?! So, is this really the comet? It was not supposed be that close to Venus or at that spot. Was expecting it south of Venus. Took some close ups too but my camera is not capable of a good picture of a comet :( I will look again tomorrow.
