Extremely severe thunder outbreak in the outskirts of Erbil, alongside torrential rain that lead to a tragic flooding in several areas of the city leaving 12 death and hundred of vehicles went missing, that's in addition to the immense private and public property damage. Such extreme conditions are very rare in this region but in the past decade the increase of draughts, flooding and severe and deadly lightening strikes have become the norm. The culprit is definitely the climate shift due to the global warming.
