While paddling in a thick fog at Shell Key Preserve over the weekend, I started to see a bow forming over the water just as the fog started to lift. It only lingered for a few minutes before the fog thickened again and the bow was gone. Talk about being in the right place at the right time! We’ve had a lot of very foggy mornings in the Tampa Bay Area over the past week due to a combination of high humidity, warm air, and cool water temperatures. Although this is our “fog season,” we haven’t seen it this consistent in the past few years.
