Image Details:

It was the night of the 4th of May and there was much anticipation and excitement (especially for sky watchers like me) for the coming Super Moon on the 8th.

While having a cup of tea on the balcony, this lovely waxing gibbous moon was brightly lighting up the Western sky. 🍵 🌔

As a daily habit, I always have a camera with me. But not my Note 8 this time...
it was in my room in need of a charge. 📱⚡🔌

Luckily, there was my small Panasonic P&S camera lying on the table which I grabbed, composed and snapped away.

If you will zoom in on the photo, you'll see fine details showing the many sized craters on the lunar surface.

Since it's mainly on Auto, I was only able to do some fine tweaking on the EV (just to brighten it up a bit), ISO at 400 (as to avoid high noise) and AWB set at Daylight.

Not too shabby for a camera model that's already 11 years old IMO. Bought it used for Php1,000 (that's around USD20).

You see, it's not in the value or cost of the camera but on how one uses it and maximizes its full potential as a photographic tool. 📷
