Orion crossing my Meridian.
The Celestial Equator is the projection of the Earth's Equator on the sky. It's height above the horizon at the Meridian depends on your latitude. Just subtract your latitude from 90°. If you're in the Northern Hemisphere. If you're in the Southern Hemisphere... it's Summertime ?.
The Celestial Equator (along with the Celestial Sphere) is fixed in your sky. It does not change with time of day or seasons. It is 0 degrees declination. The North Pole is 90° above it, the South Pole is 90° below it.
The Celestial Equator passes between Betelgeuse and Rigel, along the top of Orion's Belt. I forgot what else I was going to say.
