While eastern U.S. has cold and unsettled weather, dry and warm weather continues in the U.S. West. Over 60% of the U.S. West is experiencing extreme drought.
Extreme cold is hitting Canada and the eastern half of the United States this week. Many areas have not seen such cold temperatures in nearly two decades.
Maybe it's been cold where you live. Still, globally, November 2013 is the warmest November on record and the 345th consecutive month with temps above the 20th century average.
