Old engine house of Tyarnhayle (Wheal Rock) Copper mine near Porthtowan in Cornwall.
An extensive early-mid 19th century copper mine which closed in 1864. This occupies the area to the east of the Union Hill Copper mine and is centred on St John's Shaft. Surviving features include shafts and adits, one with a good portal, connected by rodways and tramways. Extensive areas and dumps, and a flotation plant from the 1906 reopening.
Image is a composite, just over 4 hrs integration for the trails and 10 mins for foreground.
