Compilation of mega-montage from twelve reduced images taken between 5.56 and 6.22 am
Full Moon Setting at Dawn.
The images in the accompanying mega-montage were taken between 5.56 and 6.22 am on Sunday 4th June. They show the Full Moon descending first in spectacular reflected glow from a bright volcanic sunrise arch to the ENE and then setting in Earth Shadow beneath a pink Belt of Venus which followed it towards the opposite (WSW) horizon at dawn. Obtaining the close-up views of the Moon approaching the horizon was a challenge due to reduced visibility from haze and competing light from the accompanying Belt of Venus.
