Little Finland actually has nothing to do with the Nordic country! It's a tongue-in-cheek reference to the numerous delicate, often thin as fins sandstone formations scattered in this remote part of the Gold Butte National Monument, NV. It's been a dream for me to take milky way shots with the wonderful rock formations in the foreground. But truth be told, it is difficult to search for the right shapes in the right direction in the dark, even with the help of a flashlight! This is one of the more interesting ones. If you squint, you may see unicorn, hobgoblins, and perhaps some sea monster here!
