Washington Lake

Washington Lake is located at an elevation of 10,000 feet (300 m) within the larger Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, just 71 miles (113 km) east of Salt Lake City, Utah. Containing nearly 2.1 million acres of geological and ecologically-diverse landscapes, this collection of forest areas is one of the most frequently visited in the nation — with good reason. Washington Lake Campground is located just off the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway, where a forest of pines covers the shores of the lake, providing limited shade in the campground. Washington Lake also offers canoeing, kayaking and fishing. A forest of pines covers the shores of the lake, providing limited shade in the campground.
