Sturgeon Bay

Sturgeon Bay was once a lumbering community in Michigan and is located in Bliss Township on the southern border of Wilderness State Park in the northwest part of Emmet County. Sand dunes have reclaimed the former town, and now three miles of beach mark the spot. A friend to EarthSky says, “Find a spot on the dunes or lay on the hood of your car. Bring some snacks, dress a bit warmer and bring a blanket and you will not be disappointed!”
