Stellafane Clubhouse

The Stellafane Clubhouse is a clubhouse built by the Springfield Telescope Makers club of Springfield, Vermont, just 94 miles (151 km) northeast of Albany, New York. The house is also home to the Stellafane Convention, which is a once-a-year gathering of amateur telescope makers and astronomers typically held over the weekend of the new moon closest to the height of the Perseid meteor shower (usually early August); primitive camping is also available during the event. “Clubhouse grounds are open to the public on certain times of year, and public events are held regularly,” a friend of EarthSky explains. For more information, please visit http://stellafane.org/ or call (via the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce) at 802-885-2779.
