Spencer Hot Springs
October 8, 2017
Spencer Hot Springs, known for its dependability, is a popular natural hot spring despite its relatively remote location off Highway 50 (“The Loneliest Road in America”). Soaking in a hot spring is arguably one of the more comfortable stargazing positions around, although the region around may be better for telescope portability. An EarthSky friend describes the area as “A flat expanse in the desert, with mountains in the very far distance. 360-degree views of the night sky.”
