Prescott Valley

Prescott Valley (not to be confused with the nearby town of Prescott) is a town in central Arizona, United States, located at an elevation of 5,026 feet (1,532 m). Surrounded by the beauty of the Prescott National Forest, the area offers the wide-open spaces of a gorgeous valley tucked between the Bradshaw Mountains to the north and the Mingus Mountains to the south. The town enjoys moderately dark skies with a rating of class 5 in the Bortle Dark-Sky scale, but nearby surrounding areas rate at class 3. The Prescott Astronomy Club (http://prescottastronomyclub.org/) sponsors regular stargazing events in the area.
